FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

WHAT DO YOU LEARN IN YOUR MUSIC LESSONS?
Our teachers make it a priority to get to know you on a personal level and to become familiar with your personal musical needs and goals.

We don’t teach every student the same way
A seven year old will have very different needs than a 50 year old picking up the guitar again after having lessons as a child.

The main reason to choose the school of music as your music lesson provider is that we are sensitive to the fact that every student is an individual.

When you enroll here, we will work with you to make a plan that will fit your needs and musical preferences. From the first lesson, your teacher will ask you about your favorite type of music and set goals to help accomplish whatever musical aspirations you have for yourself or your child.

WHAT STYLES OF MUSIC DO YOU TEACH?
We teach all styles from rock, pop, country, folk, blues, jazz and classical.

ARE YOUR INSTRUCTORS QUALIFIED?
Our teachers have received their degrees from prestigious institutions such as University of Arizona, University of Texas, University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Many of them currently have performing careers. In addition, our teachers are friendly, have warm personalities, and strive to get to know each student and their parent on a personal level.

GUITAR LESSONS
(age 7 and older)
Our guitar teachers teach rock, blues, metal, country, folk, jazz, and classical on electric or acoustic guitar. Beginners will learn chords, how to read music, simple melodies, and some basic theory. Our teachers make it fun by teaching you songs you want to learn in addition to a solid foundation from a method book. We encourage students to bring cd’s or ipods to their lesson so their instructor can help them learn the music that inspires them. Our studio ifs fully stocked with amps and stereos, so our students just need to bring their guitar and music to each lesson.

PIANO LESSONS
(age 5 and up)
Our piano teachers teach a variety of styles from classical to pop music. Our teachers will show you how to read, give solid technique and theory, but they’ll also incorporate songs you want to learn into the process. You do not have to have a piano at home to take lessons. An electric keyboard will suffice. Our piano teachers have great personalities and make learning the piano fun.

DRUM LESSONS
(age 7 and up)
We have the largest drum room in Tucson with both full sized acoustic drums and electric drums with plenty of soundproofing. Our drum teachers teach rock, metal, blues and many other styles. You don’t have to have a drum kit to start lessons. Beginners can start with a drum pad, sticks and a method book for under $50.00. Students use our drum sets at their lessons and only need to bring their sticks and music.

VOICE LESSONS
(age 7 and up)
Our voice teachers focus mainly on popular music. If you would like to learn rock, pop, country, musical theater, or even opera, we have the right teacher for you. Voice students spend time each week doing physical exercises to improve their range, breath control, vibrato, tone production, enunciation and more. All of our voice students bring in songs that that they want to learn so that their teacher can help them become the singer they want to be.
